Euro 2012 Group B preview: Denmark v Germany

Denmark coach Morten Olsen will achieve one of his greatest managerial feats if he can secure a Euro 2012 quarter-finals berth for his country.

Olsen has been in charge of Denmark s national team since 2000 and his side s impressive form so far has the Danish FA (DBU) already talking about another contract extension.

With four other countries at the European Championships reportedly interested in Olsen, the DBU want to secure Olsen as Denmark s head-coach beyond the 2014 World Cup when his current contract expires.

Denmark shocked the Netherlands 1-0 in their opening Euro 2012 match and then fought back from two goals behind against Portugal to equalise before eventually losing 3-2.

The Danes can advance from Group B if they achieve a better result versu…

England 4-0 Sweden: Russo backheel helps Lionesses end semi-final curse at Euro 2022

Alessia Russo s stunning backheel goal helped England to a brilliant 4-0 win over Sweden at Euro 2022, ending their wait for a semi-final success.

The Lionesses weathered a strong start from Sweden that saw Stina Blackstenius rattle the crossbar and they took the lead when Beth Mead drilled home in the 34th minute.

Lucy Bronze doubled England s lead three minutes after the restart and a moment of magic from substitute Russo put England out of reach in the 68th minute.

Fran Kirby audaciously chipped Hedvig Lindahl with 14 minutes remaining, as England ended a run of three straight semi-final defeats at major tournaments and booked their place in Sunday s showpiece at Wembley.

England needed Mary Earps to keep Sofia Jakobsson at bay after just 20 secon…

Premier League review 09th February 2013

Jason Puncheon opened the scoring as Southampton defeated champions Manchester City 3-1 at St. Marys

Yesterday’s Premier League games produced a major shock at St. Marys in the late kick-off, as Southampton defeated champions Manchester City 3-1 to move six points clear of the relegation zone.

The game was summed up by terrible mistakes from some of their more reliable performers.

The home side took the lead after just seven minutes. Winger Jason Puncheon scored from a rebound after Jay Rodriguez’s effort was saved by Joe Hart. The Saints were two goals up on 22 minutes after a terrible error from Hart.

Rickie Lambert cut inside from the wing and produced an effort which Hart comfortably saved, only to fumble to the ball to midfielder Steven Davis, w…

2023/24 Champions League Recap: A Look At The Top European Moments From This Season

Los Blancos make more European history

Relinquishing their La Liga crown at the end of the 2022/24 campaign thanks to a 10-point deficit to bitter El Clasico rivals Barcelona, faced a major backlash and there were plenty of questions marks over Carlo Ancelotti’s long-term future in the Spanish capital.

However, with the Bernabeu hierarchy making it clear that they had no intention of parting ways with the former AC Milan boss, Los Blancos made more European history this time around.

Sending defending winners Manchester City packing back in April following a nail-biting penalties victory at the Etihad, Madrid have only further cemented their spot as Europe’s ultimate poster boy.

Securing what was a famous 2-0 victory against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley la…

The touchdown market has become one of the most popular and potentially profitable props in the NFL betting world. Each week, we’re going to throw down three to four units as we try to uncover some of the best weekly NFL TD props and dig into the matchups that surround them.

We’re taking some shots at the inaugural Week 18 TD board and hitting a newly-formed hybrid back, a slot receiver in a must-win game, and a backup running back.

Without further ado, our Week 18 touchdown prop picks.

Trevor Lawrence TNF Spotlight: Player Props for Thursday Night Football Week 16

Hey look: a Week 16 TNF matchup featuring the Top 2 picks from last year’s draft going head-to-head!

Sure, I’m glossing over the fact that Zach Wilson has still not shown much indication that he is actually a franchise quarterback, but one outta two ain’t bad, right?

And that one, well hoo boy. Trevor Lawrence props have been fun to play lately, as he has been torching opposing defenses of late, and now we’re going to dip into his NFL player prop markets against the vaunted Jets defense.

Our Jaguars vs. Jets betting preview likes one of Lawrence’s targets to thrive, while my free NFL picks also like the Jags QB…

Ravens vs 49ers MNF Prop Bets: CMC, Lamar Lead Offensive Charge

The two best teams in the NFL rarely play each other this late into the season in primetime, but it looks like we got a Christmas miracle this evening in the Monday Night Football odds.

At 11-3, the Baltimore Ravens are the No. 1 seed in the AFC, however, with a matching record as the top team in the NFC and the only team with better Super Bowl odds, the San Francisco 49ers are a force to be reckoned with this season.

Despite both teams being heavy hitters, the NFL odds give the 49ers the edge by nearly a touchdown with Kyle Shanahan’s team being 6-point home favorites.

And while both teams are two of only four to rank Top 7 in both offensive and defensive EPA in the entire league, both have had some issues against the run.

Find out where o…

Texans vs Colts Picks & Predictions for Week 1: Colts Rookie Ready to Shine

The AFC South is expected to be a wide-open division this season and it all starts in Week 1 with a huge divisional matchup between the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts in Lucas Oil Stadium.

This rivalry will see several new players from last year on both sides and my Texans vs. Colts predictions have circled one key Colts player.

Find out why I’m backing Adonai Mitchell in my NFL picks for Sunday, September 8.

Texans vs Colts prediction

My best betAdonai Mitchell Over 2.5 receptions (-145 at BetMGM)

My analysis

Last season was a tale of two different stories with these two teams and their rookie quarterbacks. The Houston Texans saw CJ Stroud emerge as a Pro Bowler and Offensive Rookie of the Year, a…

Monaco’s decision to sack Niko Kovac looks like an unforced error

Monaco’s shock removal of Niko Kovac over Christmas fell somewhere between eye-wateringly ruthless and bafflingly naive. Before Kovac was appointed in the summer of 2020, relegation was Monaco’s greatest concern. Thierry Henry’s disastrous reign was followed by the ill-advised re-appointment of Leonardo Jardim, who had won the title with the club in 2017, before he was sacked for the second time in 14 months in December 2019. Spanish coach Robert Moreno then lasted just 13 games before Kovac arrived. Monaco barely survived, finishing 17th in the 2018-19 season before struggling to ninth in the following campaign. Nevertheless, Kovac’s team entered the final day of last season with a chance of winning the title.

Although the Croatian …
